PHILIPS MONITOR
Pearland EMS carries one of these on each of it's Mobile Intensive Care Unit - capable Ambulances. This device allows us to;
- Defibrillate your heart ("shock" it back into a normal beat)
- Provide an external pacemaker for your heart
- Monitor your blood pressure, pulse, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels
- Take a multiple-lead "picture" of the electrical activity of your heart
- Electronically transmit that "picture" to the receiving hospital
